Germany is a record winner with seven titles. The tournament will take place for the first time in 2022 after it was canceled for two years in a row because of the Covid 19 pandemic.

How does the U-17 women are running?

The euro takes place every year, but was last held in 2019 due to Covid-19. The participants qualify with a competition in the league format. The juniors play 40 minutes twice, there is a half -time break of 15 minutes. If a knockout game is drawn after the end of the regular season, the winner is determined in the penalty shootout.

Eight nations take part in the U-17 women. There are two groups with four teams each. On the first three match days, each team competes against the other three group participants. The two group best come to the semi -finals.

In the semifinals, the winner of group A meets the second of group B. The winner of group B plays against the second of group A. The two winners then meet in the final. The two losers play for third place on the same day.

The two finalists also qualify for the Women’s U-17 World Cup in 2022, which will be held in India from October 11th to 30th (defending champion is Spain). In the game for third place, a third World Cup ticket is awarded.

Where does the U-17 women are taking place?

The European Championship hosts Bosnia-Herzegovina. Group A games are played in Sarajevo and Zenica, that of Group B in Siroki Brijeg and Mostar. The semi -finals take place in Sarajevo and Zenica. The final is played in Sarajevo, the game for third place in Zenica.
