When Kingdom Hearts IV appears, the visual quality of the siels will improve a lot thanks to Unreal Engine 5.
The material shown in the Announcement Trailer ran in real time using Unreal Engine 4. So it reports the Famitsu.
The report is tested by the Developer Team but still a Unreal Engine 5 version parallel.
The Famitsu writes: “The complete game is developed with the Unreal Engine 5, and the quality of the lighting and the details will be higher around a few steps.”
Kingdom Hearts IV will continue to be developed by the studio in Osaka under the direction of Co-Director Yasushi Yasue. The same studio was already responsible for Kingdom Hearts III.
It continues to be based, according to Franchise Director Tetsuya Nomura based on Verum Rex, which is a fictional video game in the Toy Box of KH3.
Kingdom Hearts Director Tetsuya Nomura had betrayed that he is considering the development of a real game based on Verum Rex – a fictitious video game playing in the world of Toy Box of Part 3. Kingdom Hearts IV, however, games square in the alternative world.
Nomura would have liked to develop a Verum Rex and Squatum game. But he decided for a square play, which would have been too difficult to develop two games at the same time.
With “Lost Master Arc” Square Enix is told an epic new story. The world of square is called “a large, extended city in a beautiful, realistic world, as it has never been previously seen in the Kingdom Hearts series.
