Ex-World Champion Gary Anderson has reached the semi-final at the Darts World Cup in London. Even James Wade triggered his ticket for the round of the last four — and finished a thirsty route.
The Flying Scotsman Anderson defeated the Englishman Luke Humphries with 5: 2 in the quarterfinals on New Year’s Day and stands for the seventh time in his career in the leaflet at the World Cup.
Anderson, who brought the title in 2015 and 2016 and in the final in the final against Berwyn Price (Wales) had a look, fought himself into the match after a weak first sentence and came to a solid average of 96.32 in the end.
In the semifinals, Anderson meets ex-world champion Peter Wright (Scotland) or Allan Ry dz (England).
