Several job postings from Guerrilla Games suggest that studio searches for employees for a new multiplayer project. Although the description no concrete details go to the game, but the focus is to be apparently on the multiplayer component. The team would sometimes return to the roots.
Before Guerrilla Games worked on Horizon Zero Dawn and Horizon Forbidden West, which are exclusively singleplayer games, the developer studio from the Netherlands took care of the Killzone series. The shooter was mostly equipped with a comprehensive multiplayer, which should keep the players in a mood after completing the campaign. For the launch of PS4 in 2013, Killzone has been published: Shadow case of the previously last offshoot of the series.
Also for a potential multiplayer project speaks the return of Simon Larouche to Guerrilla Games. Larouche was involved as Game Director at Rainbow Six Winning at Ubisoft. Now he returns to his old employer, where he will work again as a Game Director. On his LinkedIn profile is also the talk of an unannounced title at Guerrilla Games. User in the Resetera Forum, which have also become aware of the job postings, have already speculated about the mysterious project. An idea was a multiplayer element for Horizon Forbidden West – as it was the case with Ghost of Tsushima with Legends. Guerrilla Games will first focus on the release of Horizon Forbidden West. The title will be published exclusively for PS5 and PS4 on February 18, 2022.
